Grok Imagine is xAI's family of image and video generation models. Here you can use it for text-to-image, text-to-video and image-to-video, with up to 7 reference images per video and sound generated in the same pass.
Text prompts of up to 4,000 characters, plus images. Grok Imagine Video works from text alone or from up to 7 reference images; Grok Imagine 1.5 is image-to-video and needs at least one image. Uploading video or audio files as references is not supported.
Grok Imagine Video makes clips of 6 to 30 seconds, and Grok Imagine 1.5 makes clips of 1 to 15 seconds. Both render at 480p or 720p. For text-to-video you can choose 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 3:2 or 2:3; Grok Imagine 1.5 adds 4:3, 3:4 and Auto. For 1080p, switch to another video model in the same workspace.
Yes. Grok Imagine generates sound effects and background audio in the same pass as the video, so clips come out with sound. Uploading your own audio track is not supported.
Yes! All videos generated with Grok Imagine are completely watermark-free. Generating and previewing is free; downloading the clean, professional-quality file is included with every paid plan.
